About Me

Hi, my name is Nilda and here is a little bit about me. I have been married for 15 years to wonderful man that is supportive of my crafting habit and has even started to help out on the site! We have three boys, ages 10, 7 and 4 and I am fortunate to be a stay at home mom. I am an active member of the Cricut message boards and you can usually find me sharing my thoughts there.

I started The Cuttlebug Spot because I fell in love with the Cuttlebug and wanted to have a place that would bring together a wide variety of people to create, share and inspire. We have grown quickly and now have a great design team. Be sure to check out their profiles on the design team tab. I think you will find that they are a talented and supportive group and you will be amazed by their work.

I hope that you find the information on the site useful and that you come back and visit often!

If you have any questions or comments you can reach me at nrocke1@msn.com

  7. Hi Nilda Can you help me track down where I can purchase a stamp that has been used in Challenge 51 it is either by you or by Valerie - the 4 ladies stamp. I have been trying to find out where I can buy this stamp for some time now and hopefully I have found someone who is using it and could tell me if it is a Hero Arts or ????? Many thanks

  9. Hi Nilda, just found this blog and love it. I also love my cuttlebug. so will visit often and try some challenges. I saw the post by Donna with the "couple". I have asked about the roses embossing folder and no one seems to have it. I do not see it on the provocraft site. Is it a discontinued one, cause then I can stop looking.
    Warm wishes

  10. I am fairly new to the cuttlebug and was just wondering when you do the double embossing with the nestabilities do you find that they are to thick. I am worried that I will ruin my beloved cuttlebug. Do you have a comment on that.

  11. I really have a question rather than a comment. I opened my Cuddlebug and tried it out and when I used the cutting die it made the mark of the shape on one of the B plates, is it supposed to do that or did I do something wrong. Thanks for your help.

  12. Nilda:

I did my first link wrong as it went to my whole blog. The second one is correct if you would delete the first one I would appreciate it.

  15. Hello Nilda
Am a new cuttlebug owner and really am enjoying it. One of my B plates had a bit of a curve in it upon purchase but did not seem to harm the operation of it; just used that plate mostly for cutting. Now it has quite the curve in it and have notice the embossing is getting less consistent. Should I replace the B plate? I see that they are easily obtained.

  24. Hi There,

I wanted to know who were the winners from the challenge using the recipe for your creations. You were supposed to use the following:
    Card Recipe

    1 button
    2 ribbons
    3 papers ( 1 must be embossed)

I don't remember seeing who won.

    Thanks,

    Martha H.
