Spellbinders Grand Calibur

Just wanted to share with everyone my new toy. I absolutely love how easy the Grand Calibur works. Great larger platform that allows paper to be used as large as 8 1/2 x 11 .

The Grand Calibur cuts and embosses up to 8 1/8″ wide! It accomodates 8 1/2 x 11″ paper without trimming. It can cut/emboss multiple shapes in a single pass! It’s compatible with all Spellbinders die templates. 7lbs is all it weighs! The outside is lightweight plastic, but the inside has the steel gears!

  11. Tim Holtz has come out with a large platform also. His looks like a suitcase $100. or more. I would like to see something like a Sizzix in a larger platform that had the versatility of using thick dies as well as the thin folders. I wonder if Cuttlebug will come out with a larger machine????? Sizzix does have a monster machine that would really take up a lot of space.

  12. I wonder, for die cutting a whole lot at once, do you think you could set maybe 10 small dies in there at once to cut 10 at a time? What a time saver that would be

  13. I purchased a Grand Calibur to cut 8 1/2 x 11 inch cardstock for presentation folders. Problem is that 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper does not fit into the machine. I called Spellbinders and they were surprised to learn this--solution--take out the white paper guide. It works fine without the guide. Guide can snap back in place when using smaller papers.
